As a full-time copywriter, I use ScriptDoll much like a chef creates delicious side dishes to compliment the main course.
I have my own special recipe for sales letters, especially if I’m writing for software. So typically I don’t use ScriptDoll for sales letters. I hope Dr. Ben won’t be ready to shoot me after saying this!
I’ve written so many sales letters that the editing process I feel is essential to get the most out of ScriptDoll actually slows me down. I know Dr. Ben would agree with me to get the best out of ScriptDoll you need to edit and tweak the output, so maybe he won’t be quite so mad with me.
Having said that, I still highly endorse the ScriptDoll sales letter template for anyone who doesn’t write sales letters as often as I do. It just gives a beautiful scaffold to ensure all the essential parts of a sales letter are included in the correct order. This is what a lot of people tend to struggle with when they write sales copy.
Another thing I like about is ScriptDoll teaches people to write bullets correctly, with a combination of features backed by benefits. So many struggle with this aspect of copywriting! You just can’t get it wrong with Scriptdoll, even as a newbie.
Let me get back to my ScriptDoll side dishes. I do use ScriptDoll for JV Pages (love it for this purpose), sales videos and OTOs. It also has a really nice new buyer email sequence as well. ScriptDoll just makes my main offers juicier and more delectable.
How has ScriptDoll made writing copy easier?
The profile feature makes things much easier! I can build my profiles and have confidence Scriptdoll will push all the right buy buttons with a little assist from me. The Done-for-You IM niche template lets me create JV pages and sales video scripts super fast. Not to mention the ability to export the scripts directly to slides is a terrific time-saving feature.
I used to struggle a bit with VSLs. I don’t know why they kind of freaked me out, but they did. Now I have the confidence with Scriptdoll to know I’m getting in all the elements I need to, and not worry about leaving out anything essential.
Can you share a ScriptDoll success story?
As I primarily write for clients, I can’t really share their letters without permission. Sorry!
I will say that I used Scriptdoll for front end copy a WSO of the Day that sold 2000+ copies and was still converting at 14% at that point. I was pressed for time on that one, and Scriptdoll really helped me get the copy back to the client fast.
However, on two recent JVZOO Products of the Day I wrote for, I used the JV Sales Letter Template for one, and the Sumo VSL template for the sales video on the other. I don’t think I could create a better JV sales letter than the one Scriptdoll generates, so why try to reinvent the wheel? I love the Sumo VSL template - it packs in all the info you need in a nice concise script that conveys the benefits of a product without a lot of extraneous fluff.
I’m using the “List You Let Go” sequence for a client I’m working on an email re-engagement campaign right now but I don’t have stats available yet. I’m also incorporating the “Nice to Meet You Sequence” for buyers for a membership site I’m launching soon. That’s a great script!
I’ll also be digging into the Native Ads & Press Release template very soon to help drive traffic to the membership. I’ve checked them both out and they fit the bill and then some.
Can you offer any tips / strategies on how you are using ScriptDoll in a unique way?
I guess I would tell viewers to try out the various scripts included with your membership and not just stick to the same ones over and over again. ScriptDoll has so much variety, it covers any copy need you could possibly ever have. Don’t just use ScriptDoll for the main course - use it to create side dishes like sales videos, jv pages and OTOs. As well, use Scriptdoll for a little spicy seasoning like autoresponder sequences that convert.
