Did they have a second thought? Did they find the item somewhere else cheaper? Did they just get side tracked or maybe they got called in for dinner and they didn't have time to go through the check out process. It happens ALL THE TIME.
So, how do we combat this? Well, one way is to communicate with that potential buyer through a series of well constructed emails (or ads) that remind the customer to take action and complete their purchase. This is all done with incentives. Incentives such as discount codes and additional bonuses if they act right away! Scarcity plays a bit part in getting people to take action sooner rather than later.
